What We Believe
- We believe in the preeminence of Jesus Christ as our Divine Lord and Master. (Col 1:15-20)
- We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His literal death on the cross, His burial, His bodily resurrection, His physical ascension, and His second coming (Acts 1:11, 1 Tim 3:16, Isa 7:14, Luke 1:31-35)
- We believe the Bible to be without error, infallible, verbally inspired, and divinely preserved in the Authorized King James Version (2 Tim 3:16, Psalms 12:6-7)
- We believe in salvation by grace through faith without works in the finished work of Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8-9, Heb 10:12)
- We believe and observe baptism (by immersion) and the Lord’s Supper. We understand that neither impart salvation, but are rather ordinances given to the church (Acts 8:35-38, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
- We believe for the believer “to be absent from the body is to be present with Lord” and that the lost go directly to hell. We reject any doctrine of “soul sleep” (2 Corinthians 5:8, Psalms 9:17)
- We believe in the literal second coming of Jesus Christ to establish His Physical Kingdom. We are pre-millennial and believe that Jesus Christ will return prior to millennial age.
- We are dispensational in theology and allow the Bible to make its own divisions. We understand our responsibility to “Study” to “rightly divide”. As such we make the proper distinctions between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven, the church and Israel, the rapture and the appearing , etc. (2 Timothy 2:15, Revelation 20:1-7, Revelation 19:11-21)
- We reject Calvinism and are actively looking for the imminent return of Jesus Christ to rapture the church prior to the tribulation (2 Peter 3:9, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 5:9)
- We believe the sign gifts, like speaking in tongues and healing, ceased with the apostles (1 Cor. 1:21-22; 2 Cor. 12:12)
- We believe the nation of Israel is God’s covenant people and they will be converted as a nation when Jesus returns (Rom. 11:1-32)
- We believe in the eternal security of the believer—once a person is saved they cannot lose their salvation (Rom. 8:38-39; John 10:28)
- We are independent Baptist and are not a part of the Southern Baptist convention
- We support and encourage world-wide missionary fervor and evangelism in accordance with Pauline ministry and doctrine
